About the Author
Amy Harmon is a Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and New York Times Bestselling author. Amy knew at an early age that writing was something she wanted to do, and she divided her time between writing songs and stories as she grew. Having grown up in the middle of wheat fields without a television, with only her books and her siblings to entertain her, she developed a strong sense of what made a good story. Her books are now being published in seventeen different languages, truly a dream come true for a little country girl from Levan, Utah.

We are on the same page. I agree it is not a perfect book, I guess no book really is.
I loved it anyway. It gave me pleasure, the characters stayed on my mind for quite a while, and I felt I learned something from it.
Most of the time, long descriptions of places bore me to death, but they really work for me on this one.
Thanks for stopping by ;)

Thank you! As for the sexual violence, there is one particular scene, and I guess you can just skip it and move on. It is a sad story, but there is an uplifting end.
You are welcome! Thanks for stopping by ;)
First of all, let me tell you that I love your blog's design! Is so minimal and pretty.
This seems like a really interesting story, you made a great job explaining the book's highlights. Even if the book's theme is not for me, perhaps i'll check it out someday!
I'm not sure this is the book for me because of the trigger warnings, but great review and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
